This video shows how praise can be a learning and teachable moment, a better kind of praise.
The words we use with our children can either build our child up, have no effect, or destroy their self esteem. We all want to praise and let our kids know they did a good job. When we do so we should capitalize on it as a ‘teachable moment’ and be very specific in our praise and not just tell our kids ‘a job well done’. This video gives some great examples on how to better praise our kids and have them learn from it at the same time.
